REDUNDANCY – KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
What does ‘redundancy’ mean?
Redundancy arises when an employee or group of employees lose their jobs because their employer no longer needs them to carry out the role that they are employed to do. Employers may need to make employees redundant when the organisation needs fewer employees to carry out a particular job, when a business needs no longer exist for the role or perhaps when the company goes into administration
